Argo is a specialist charter yacht built for expeditions for those who seek underwater adventure on the Great Barrier Reef. Ideal for dive, fishing or research charters she can visit the most remote and unique regions on the East Coast of Australia and beyond.
With a cruising range of 3000 nautical miles and accommodation for up to 16 overnight enthusiasts in 5 cabins, Argo is the perfect base for venturesome charters. The skilled captain can design itineraries with a focus on Port Douglas Reefs, Ribbon Reefs, Lizard Island, Orpheus Island or Hamilton Island. This yacht is steered at the intrepid charterer, yet the crew and chef are sure to impress those indulgent guests.
As one of the pioneers of research tourism a charter can include Tagging Manta Rays, Identifying Minke Whales or have a ‘Shark Week’ experience with the catch, tag and release of shark species. Argo is also very kid friendly with Kayaks and a biscuit that can be towed behind the 4.5m rib. The crew and dive guide are passionate and have extensive knowledge of the cruising and dive areas, the onboard dive compresser and dive equipment are an added feature.
A full day charter experience can also be arranged for up to 45, relax on the aft deck space while the chef cooks a seafood BBQ.
Located a short 3 hour cruise away, Michaelmas and Vlasoff Reefs are popular destinations for short but memorable Great Barrier Reef experiences. Snorkelling in the area will reveal some wondrous coral and tropical fish species.
