Monaco Yacht Show 2026 Wrap Up: A More Focused Market

NEWS | OCTOBER 2026 Monaco Yacht Show 2026 Wrap Up A More Focused Market Arrange a meeting Home | Superyacht News | The 35th Monaco Yacht Show brought the global superyacht industry together in Port Hercule from 23 to 26 September, welcoming 30,678 visitors and 560 exhibitors over four days. There were 118 superyachts on display with an estimated combined value of €4.5 billion. Fifty of the yachts on display had been delivered in 2026, with an average length of 47.5m and the largest measuring 111m. A further 72 tenders were presented within the show’s expanded Adventure Area. A Stronger Focus on Relationships While the scale and calibre of the fleet remained unmistakably Monaco, the atmosphere felt noticeably different this year. “Monaco had a slightly different feel to previous years, which was echoed across the waterfront,” shares Cam Bray, Founder of The Superyacht People. “The atmosphere felt more measured, with a particularly strong focus on business and meaningful conversations.” Against a backdrop of rapid developments in artificial intelligence, continued uncertainty in the Middle East and the acquisition of several major brokerage houses by private equity firms, the value of meeting in person appeared more important than ever. “People were happy to sit down face-to-face, reaffirm personal relationships and have meaningful conversations,” Cam added. The yachts themselves were more impressive than ever, with shipyards showcasing their latest advances in design, onboard technology and sustainability. The growing presence of destinations was equally noticeable. With tourism boards and regional representatives promoting new and established cruising grounds to the international charter market. Early Confidence for the 2027 Charter Season The outlook for charter also offered reasons for confidence. While 2026 was characterised by a high volume of last-minute Mediterranean bookings, early demand for the coming season is already painting a different picture. “We are already seeing strong advance charter bookings for 2027,” shared Cam. “It is great to see that confidence returning to the market.” Halle Scott, Global Charter Specialist was on the ground at both MYS and the CROYA Charter Show and saw equally promising trends for the charter industry: “The biggest shift I’m seeing is how early clients are planning. After a summer of last minute Med bookings in 2026, people are already looking to secure their summer 2027 charters. Start Planning Wellness Moves Up the Charter Wish List “As for the yachts themselves – wellness is now part of the brief rather than a bonus. Gyms, massage therapists on board, and saunas or hammams come up in almost every conversation,” Halle adds. “Croatia continues to stand out, with a strong option of yachts with longstanding crews, and Greece remains very popular, helped by its diverse islands and lower charter VAT.” The Monaco Yacht Show once again demonstrated its importance not simply as a showcase for the world’s most remarkable yachts, but as a place where relationships are strengthened, new opportunities emerge and the market becomes clearer. meet our team Start Planning Your Yacht Charter Now You don’t need to be a yachting expert to enjoy the world’s most exclusive form of travel. SHORE THING central charter agent - the Superyacht People

Appointed Central Charter Agent for SHORE THING

The Superyacht People Appointed Central Charter Agent for Adventure-Led Motor Yacht SHORE THING Australia, August 26, 2026 – The Superyacht People has been appointed Central Charter Agent for 34.5m SHORE THING, a recently refitted Australian-built superyacht redefining luxury charters by combining premium onboard hospitality with adventure, exploration and serious game fishing, including the option to pair with the dedicated SHORE THING 58 sportfisher. As today’s luxury travellers are increasingly seeking a more immersive, experience-led holiday over traditional resort escapes, SHORE THING has been designed to deliver far more than days simply spent at anchor in the sun. If game fishing is the main draw, by opting to pair with 17.7m SHORE THING 58 sportfisher, you can create a rare mothership-and-sportfisher charter experience. For mixed groups, this combination is particularly compelling as keen anglers can head offshore for dedicated game fishing days, while other guests can enjoy SHORE THING’s beach club, water toys, and luxury amenities, allowing everyone to experience the charter their own way. Fresh off an extensive refit in 2025, SHORE THING offers accommodation for up to eight guests across four ensuite cabins, while three spacious entertaining decks, a forward jacuzzi, multiple alfresco dining areas and relaxed contemporary interiors provide the perfect place to relax and unwind after each adventurous day at sea. What truly sets SHORE THING apart is her ability to deliver experiences that extend well beyond the yacht itself. A 9m Gemini Waverider tender, Ocean Beach Club, floating cabana, paddleboards, snorkelling equipment and a wide range of fishing gear transform each charter into an active exploration of Australia’s vast coastline. Whether casting a line offshore, snorkelling amongst the colourful reefs, discovering secluded beaches by tender, or simply spending quality time together on the water, every charter is tailored around the way guests want to experience Australia. On the appointment, Cameron Bray, Founder of The Superyacht People shared, “Luxury today is about creating memories rather than simply providing amenities. SHORE THING offers everything guests expect from a premium superyacht, but what makes her truly special is what happens off the yacht. Whether it’s heading offshore for a serious day of game fishing aboard SHORE THING 58, snorkelling pristine reefs all by yourselves, exploring remote beaches or simply spending uninterrupted time together as a family, these are the experiences people remember long after the charter ends.” Supported by an experienced crew with extensive local knowledge, every itinerary is customisable based around guests’ interests, combining exceptional service with access to destinations and experiences that few visitors will ever discover. Available throughout Australia’s east coast, SHORE THING offers fully customisable itineraries across some of the country’s most sought after cruising grounds.
