Built to go further without losing any of the luxury you’d experience on other yacht charters, an expedition or explorer yacht gives you access to the world’s most remote and rugged destinations. Imagine waking up to whales breaching next to an iceberg, or diving in some of the world’s most biodiverse waters while your attentive crew takes care of every detail.
Leading with remote, adventure based charters, an expedition yacht can transport you to isolated coastlines, islands and anchorages. Thanks to a robust build, you’re also able to stay away from established marinas and yachting hubs for extended periods of time offering a great balance of exploration, capability and onboard comfort. You can comfortably cast off the bowlines and explore some of the world’s most untouched corners with the luxury of a yacht charter and the experienced crew onboard.
Explorer yachts have come a long way in the last decade; more and more yachts are capable of longer range, endurance and storage to leave the shore for longer periods of time. Whether you’re setting off on longer passages or heading into changing conditions, an expedition yacht can safely get you there. Specialist tenders for remote shorelines and luxury yacht crew can help create a bespoke itinerary for you and your group.
A wide range of toys and equipment usually come standard onboard including dive gear, kayaks, surfboards and fishing equipment. Specialist crew may also include dive instructors, expedition leaders or naturalist experts in the region. Your captain and crew can coordinate local guides and experts that add depth to the charter with wildlife, cultural and conservation experiences.
For those looking to venture off the beaten path and experience something new and different, an expedition yacht charter takes you beyond the traditional cruising routes. From groups of friends and multigenerational charters to couples and families seeking active and educational experiences, an explorer yacht gives the access and capability alongside the comfort and amenities of a traditional yacht charter.
The world is becoming more accessible by the day. An adventure yacht charter to far flung corners of the globe opens up these destinations like never before. Explore the South Pacific’s outer islands and atolls, cruise New Zealand’s remote fjords, head north to arctic regions, or be one of the few to access Australia’s Kimberley region.
When cruising some of the world’s most remote destinations, the right place to charter an expedition yacht will depend on the season you want to travel, your preferred itinerary and the type of explorer yacht you want to experience.
