ARTICLE | October 2026 Meet the Team: Taylah Moxey CRM & Client Experience Manager Speak To Taylah Home | Superyacht News | Meet the Team: Taylah Moxey Meet Taylah Moxey, our CRM & Client Experience Manager. We caught up with Tay to talk yachting, the details that matter and her favourite places on the water. What brought you into the yachting industry? Growing up on the Gold Coast, Australia, some of my favourite memories are of boating and fishing with my dad or lying on the beach with my mum. After I moved to South Florida, an opportunity came up to work with a superyacht brokerage and I jumped at it. Being based in Fort Lauderdale, the yachting capital of the world, I got to see firsthand what this industry is all about, the excitement of the boat shows, the incredible yachts and of course the people who make it all happen. At its heart, it’s about bringing people together and creating unforgettable experiences in the most beautiful places in the world, and I’ve been hooked ever since. What does your role at The Superyacht People actually look like day to day? As a CRM & Client Experience Manager, I look after the systems and processes behind every client relationship. Day-to-day, that means building and refining our CRM, making sure our team has the right information at the right time, and shaping the client journey so every touchpoint feels seamless and personal. A lot of what I do happens behind the scenes, but the goal is always the same, making sure every client feels known and looked after. What do you love most about working in yachting? The people. Yachting isn’t just about the boats; it’s about the experiences and the connections that come from them. I love being part of something that brings people together and creates memories for a lifetime. What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about your job? How much thought goes into the details clients never see. Every great charter or brokerage experience is supported by a huge amount of organisation, data and planning, and when it’s done well, it looks effortless. What’s one yacht destination or experience that has really stayed with you? The Bahamas. It will always have a special place in my heart. I spent days fishing and island hopping through the clearest water I’ve seen, while enjoying fresh conch salad followed by the best piña coladas I’ve ever tasted. If you could step aboard tomorrow and cruise anywhere in the world, where are you going? French Polynesia. Turquoise lagoons, overwater sunsets and some of the best diving in the world. Cruising between Bora Bora, Moorea and the remote atolls of the Tuamotus would be an absolute dream. Explore All Destinations What does your perfect day on the water look like? It starts with an early morning swim off the back of the boat, followed by snorkelling and a bit of fun on the Seabob. Lunch would be fresh ceviche at anchor somewhere beautiful. Then it’s champagne at golden hour with sun-kissed skin, before docking somewhere special, ready for the night ahead. When you’re not talking about yachts, where are we most likely to find you? Back home on the Gold Coast, close to family. You’ll usually find me rollerblading along the coast, in the ocean, or catching up with friends with a rosé in hand. Sometimes I’ll trade the coastline for a walk through the rainforest in the hinterland, and on quieter days you’ll find me painting. Quickfire with Taylah Motor or Sailing? Motor Mediterranean, Caribbean or South Pacific? South Pacific Sunrise or sunset? Sunset Favourite place you’ve travelled? Guatemala Dream destination you haven’t been to yet? Monaco One thing you always pack for a yacht charter? A good playlist Whether you have a question, an idea to share or an opportunity to explore, start a conversation with Taylah. When is the Best Time to Charter a Yacht

When is the Best Time to Charter a Yacht?

ARTICLE | September 2026 When is the Best Time to Charter a Yacht? A Guide to Yacht Charter Seasons Make an Enquiry Home | Superyacht News | When is the Best Time to Charter a Yacht? One of the first questions people ask when planning a yacht charter is simple: when is the best time to go? The answer depends almost entirely on where you want to charter. The global yacht charter calendar moves with the seasons. As summer arrives in the Mediterranean, yachts gather along the coastlines of Greece, Croatia, Italy, France and Spain. When temperatures begin to cool in Europe, much of the fleet heads towards the Caribbean and the Bahamas, while destinations across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific offer entirely different cruising seasons. That means there really isn’t one “best time” to charter a yacht. There is, however, a best destination for almost every month of the year. Here is how to plan a yacht charter by season and month. Yacht Charter Seasons at a Glance Season Popular Yacht Charter Destinations What to Expect December–February Caribbean, the Bahamas, Australia, New Zealand Winter sun in the Caribbean and southern hemisphere summer March–April Caribbean, the Bahamas, South Pacific Excellent Caribbean conditions and a good period for tropical cruising May–June Mediterranean, Greece, Croatia, Italy, South Pacific Mediterranean season begins with warm weather and fewer peak-season crowds July–August Mediterranean, Greece, Croatia, Italy, France, Spain Height of the Mediterranean yacht charter season September–October Mediterranean, Greece, Croatia, South Pacific Warm seas, quieter cruising grounds and excellent shoulder-season opportunities November Caribbean, the Bahamas Caribbean season begins as the Mediterranean winds down Contact Us When is the Mediterranean Yacht Charter Season? The main Mediterranean yacht charter season runs from May through October, with July and August the most in demand months. From the French Riviera to the Balearic Islands to Sardinia, Greece and Croatia, these months bring warm temperatures, long days and a huge choice of yachts. However, peak summer isn’t always the best choice for everyone. May & June The Mediterranean Comes to Life May marks the beginning of the Mediterranean season. By June, temperatures are climbing, beach clubs and waterfront restaurants are open for the season and the cruising grounds are firmly awakening. For many guests, June is one of the best months to charter a yacht in the Mediterranean. You can enjoy long days on the water and increasingly warm seas without the same intensity that July and August brings. It is particularly appealing for destinations including Greece, Croatia, Mallorca, Sardinia and the Mediterranean coastline. You will also have a greater selection of yachts to choose from versus further into the summer. July & August Peak Mediterranean Yacht Charter Season If your idea of summer involves long lunches overlooking the water, busy ports, warm evenings ashore and days spent swimming from the yacht, July and August deliver the epitome of Mediterranean summer. This is peak season across much of the region. As a result, you’ll find destinations like the French Riviera, Ibiza, Mallorca, Sardinia, the Amalfi Coast, Croatia and the Greek Islands to be at their busiest. It is also when demand for the most desirable charter yachts is strongest, particularly during school holidays and major events along the coast. For guests planning to charter during July or August, booking well ahead is recommended, especially if you have a particular yacht, destination or week in mind. September and October Mediterranean Shoulder Season Given the height of summer bookings, you don’t want to overlook September. The summer crowds begin to disperse, but sea temperatures remain warm after months of sunshine. Restaurants and coastal towns are still open, and there can be greater flexibility when it comes to yachts and itineraries. September is particularly attractive in Greece and Croatia, where the season can extend comfortably into autumn. October becomes more destination-dependent, but the Eastern Mediterranean can still offer excellent charter opportunities. For those not restricted by school holidays, late May, June and September are often some of the most rewarding times to experience the Mediterranean. Get In Touch The Charter Yachts on Our Radar The 2026 fleet extends from innovative yachts around the 40m mark to some of the largest charter yachts in the world. These are a few of the yachts we are particularly looking forward to seeing in Monaco. ANGELIQUE Charter rate: from €1,300,000 per week.  At 87.7m, ANGELIQUE is the largest yacht ever built by Turquoise Yachts and one of the most significant new charter yachts appearing at this year’s show. Delivered in 2026, she pairs an imposing exterior profile with interior by H2 Yacht Design. Accommodation is provided for up to 12 guests across seven cabins, while expansive outdoor spaces, multiple pools and an extensive beach club place the focus firmly on life beside the water. MALIA Charter rate: from €750,000 per week. Built by Golden Yachts and delivered in 2023, 77.7m MALIA offers the scale and amenities associated with the upper end of the charter market. Among her most distinctive features are a glass-bottom swimming pool, a large beach club with fold-down sea terraces and a foredeck helipad. Eight guest cabins provide excellent flexibility for families and larger charter groups, while her generous entertainment spaces make her especially well suited to groups. SILVER FOX Charter rate: from €900,000 per week. One of the newest yachts in the show, SILVER FOX is a 72m Sanlorenzo delivered in 2026. She is the first yacht from the shipyard’s 74Steel series and combines the volume of a much larger yacht with contemporary Italian design. Long bands of glazing, open exterior decks and a strong connection between the interior and the sea define her design. She accommodates up to 12 charter guests across eight cabins and will cruise the Caribbean and Bahamas during winter 2026/27. AMOR À VIDA Charter rate: from €740,000 per week. Her name translates as “love of life,” an idea reflected throughout the design of the 67m AMOR À VIDA. Delivered by CRN in 2025, she spans six decks and features a full-beam owner’s suite on the upper deck, a beach club, gym and deck jacuzzi. She is also CRN’s first yacht to incorporate a hybrid propulsion system, designed to improve efficiency and allow quieter operation while at anchor. AMOR À VIDA is an excellent example of how new-generation yachts are combining highly considered guest spaces with evolving technology behind the scenes. THIS IS IT Charter rate: from €350,000 per week At 43.5m, THIS IS IT demonstrates just how dramatically multifull design has evolved. Built by Tecnomar, her futuristic profile, sculptural glazing and expansive beam immediately set her apart from more conventional charter yachts. The catamaran configuration produces approximately 600 square metres of combined interior and exterior space, creating impressive volume without moving into the 60m or 70m category. For guests interested in contemporary design and a different style of life on the water, she is likely to be one of the show’s most memorable yachts. S7 Charter rate: from €95,000 per week. The 39m S7 brings a smaller and more attainable charter option into this year’s selection without losing the individuality expected of a Monaco show yacht. Built by Tansu, she combines the shipyard’s characteristically purposeful exterior lines with relaxed spaces designed for time outdoors. Her size makes her well suited to accessing smaller bays and ports, while her weekly charter rates illustrate the variety of yachts available for charter at MYS. *All charter rates are base rates and exclude applicable taxes and expenses. Explore yachts for charter Beyond the Yachts The yachts may command most of the attention, but MYS also offers a valuable opportunity to meet the people shaping future builds, refits and ownership experiences. New for 2026, the Designer Gallery brings yacht designers, naval architects and creative studios together within the Dockside Area. Visitors can compare different design approaches, discuss future projects and explore selected concepts through the adjacent MYS Immersive Experience. The Adventure Area returns with a focus on the equipment and technology enabling yachts to travel further afield, while the Sailing Yacht Area showcases an alternative approach to long-range cruising. Environmental innovation also remains part of the conversation through Blue Wake, the show’s programme for independently assessed, environmentally responsible solutions. With sustainability increasingly influencing yacht design, construction and operation, this area is worth exploring for both current and prospective owners. Where to Eat and Drink During MYS Schedules fill up quickly in Monaco, so it is worth planning a few convenient options rather than relying on a last-minute table. For a quick and informal lunch, La

Meet Cam Bray | Founder of The Superyacht People

Meet the Team: Cam Bray

ARTICLE | September 2026 Meet the Team: Cam Bray Founder of The Superyacht People Speak To Cam Home | Superyacht News | Meet the Team: Cam Bray Meet Cam Bray, founder of The Superyacht People, and discover his journey into yachting, favourite destinations and what 25 years has taught him. What brought you into the yachting industry? Like most people, I found my way into yachting a little bit by accident. Twenty-five years ago, it was never really marketed as a career. I was travelling through Europe in my early twenties and had done a ski season in France. Some friends said, “When the snow melts, we’ll head down to the South of France and work on yachts.” I thought I’d do it for a season, then head back to London, put the suit and tie on and use the business degree I’d gone to university for. Instead, I ended up working as a deckhand on a yacht owned by a Saudi princess. She wanted me to stay, so I did, and I spent the next few years working my way up the ladder. However, I never set out to become a career captain. What kept me in the industry was that I genuinely fell in love with it. There’s something incredibly satisfying about creating extraordinary experiences for people with the highest expectations and then finding a way to exceed them. I realised pretty quickly that was exactly where I wanted to be. About The Superyacht People What does your role at The Superyacht People actually look like day to day? One of the best things about our industry is that no two days are ever really the same. We try to have some structure around what we do, but this is a global industry — it’s definitely not Monday to Friday, nine to five. My day usually starts pretty early, around four or five in the morning. I try to get some training or exercise in, although sometimes that gets pushed aside when I wake up to an inbox full of enquiries from clients or brokers in Europe or the US who are still online. Being able to have that immediate dialogue and respond quickly rather than waiting another 24 hours is incredibly valuable. From there, a lot of my day is focused on business development, which I love — finding new clients, meeting with owners and crew, and continuing to build our charter management and Central Agency charter and sales fleet. There’s also a bigger-picture element to it. I’m passionate about growing the industry overall, whether that’s through initiatives here in Australia or expanding what’s possible for superyachts across the South Pacific. What do you love most about working in yachting? The people. I got into this industry because I love making people happy, and yachting gives us an incredible opportunity to do that. At the end of the day, we’re involved in the fun side of people’s lives, and I think it’s important that we remember that and don’t take ourselves too seriously. Our clients come to us because we’re the experts, and we take that responsibility seriously. But our job is also to make the experience enjoyable, to build those relationships, understand what people really want and create experiences they’ll remember. And, of course, I love that no two days are the same. Yachting becomes part of your life, but it never really feels like a chore. What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about your job? That I don’t spend every day sitting on a yacht drinking rosé. You’d be surprised how common that perception is. I’ve even had people think this is somehow a fake job that doesn’t really exist. The reality is that this is still a serious business. We work with some of the most astute and successful business people in the world. There are complex negotiations, significant decisions being made and incredibly high expectations to deliver on. That challenge is actually one of the things I love most. We’re constantly being pushed to perform at the highest level and then find a way to surprise people by going beyond what they expected. What’s one yacht destination or experience that has really stayed with you? It’s very hard to choose just one. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to experience yachting from a few different perspectives: as crew, on familiarisation trips and as a guest of owners and clients. There have been some amazing moments as well: cruising past Stromboli in the Aeolian Islands and seeing an active volcano as a crewmember, and seeing Komodo dragons in Indonesia while on a fam trip aboard LAMIMA. More recently, I was onboard BIG SKY with the owner and friends, cruising through French Polynesia from Tahiti to Bora Bora. What stayed with me most was the sense that this incredible world exists whether we’re there or not. None of it felt manufactured for tourists or for yachts. We were simply privileged enough to experience their world for a little while. If you could step aboard tomorrow and cruise anywhere in the world, where are you going? It might sound a little cliché, but for me it would be the Amalfi Coast. I feel like I’ve got some unfinished business there. I cruised through the area as a crew member, but I’d love to go back as a charter guest with my family and properly explore Capri, Positano, Amalfi and Sorrento. I’d spend the days discovering those beautiful restaurants tucked into the bottom of the cliffs that you can only really reach by boat, turning up in a linen shirt and board shorts with nowhere else you need to be. That would be pretty hard to beat. Explore All Destinations What does your perfect day on the water look like? We’re always chasing perfection, but mine would start with a really active morning on the water, hitting the waterslide, Jet Skis, foil boards, whatever we can get our hands on. I’d want to properly immerse

That’s fine too; chartering a yacht means you can step away from the hustle and bustle of the port and escape to the peace and quiet of your own private yacht. You can spend the morning anchored off Colombier, swimming from the yacht and making use of the water toys before heading around the coast to St Jean. Come evening, arrive in Gustavia by tender for dinner before returning to your home for the week while you enjoy a night cap under the stars, far away from the crowds. The ability to move between the island’s social side and its quieter bays is what makes St Barths particularly well suited to a yacht charter. St Barths can also form part of a wider Leeward Islands itinerary, with St Martin providing a convenient embarkation point and Anguilla adding beautiful beaches and a more laid-back pace. TSP HIGHLIGHTS: Gustavia, Colombier, St Jean, beach clubs, on shore dining, and New Year’s Eve in the harbour. View Yachts in St Barths The Virgin Islands For guests looking to pick up and go a bit more during their charter without cruising for long, the Virgin Islands are pretty hard to beat. Across the British and US Virgin Islands, dozens of islands, cays and anchorages sit within a relatively compact cruising area. That means more of your day can be spent swimming, exploring, snorkelling or exploring on shore and less time getting from one anchorage to another. The British Virgin Islands offer some of the region’s most recognisable charter experiences. Swim among the granite boulders of The Baths on Virgin Gorda, head to the beach to explore Jost Van Dyke barefoot, snorkel around Norman Island or cruise north to the quieter shores of Anegada. The US Virgin Islands offers another side of the coin. St John features beautiful protected bays, beaches and extensive national park landscapes, while St Thomas provides a convenient gateway to the wider cruising grounds of the US Virgin Islands. The combination of chartering across both islands offers a great balance of variety, easy cruising and short stop overs which are favoured by families, first-time charterers and those looking to make the most of their time at sea. TSP HIGHLIGHTS: Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, Norman Island, Anegada, St John and the countless smaller bays and deserted islands in between. Discover Yachts In US Virgin Islands Discover Yachts In British Virgin Islands The Bahamas and Exumas In the Exumas, the water isn’t simply the backdrop to your charter, it becomes a huge part of the experience. Stretching across a chain of over 700 islands and cays surrounded by impossibly clear, shallow waters, this is a destination made for days spent outside. Launch the paddleboards or Seabobs from the swim platform, take the tender into a hidden creek, snorkel over a reef or wander up onto the swathes of sandbars that might be gone by the next tide. There are the well-known stops of course. Staniel Cay and the swimming pages at Big Major Cay are usually the top destinations for yachts here. Thunderball Grotto offers one of the area’s most memorable snorkelling experiences (and yes, it’s eponymously named after the James Bond film). If you’re feeling brave, wade amongst the nurse sharks of Compass Cay or dive the famous plane wreck that went down during Pablo Escobar’s drug trade in Norman’s Cay before heading back

How Much Does It Cost to Charter a Superyacht?

ARTICLE | AUGUST 2026 How Much Does It Cost to Charter a Superyacht? A Complete Guide to Yacht Charter Costs Make an Enquiry Home | Superyacht News | How Much Does It Cost to Charter a Superyacht? If you are considering a yacht charter for the first time, one of your first questions is likely, how much does it cost to charter a superyacht? The answer is slightly more complicated than the weekly rate you see advertised. For example, a yacht may be listed for charter at USD 100,000 per week, but the final cost of the holiday will also depend on expenses such as fuel, food and drinks, local taxes and gratuity. Where you charter, how far you cruise and the experiences you plan along the way can all influence the amount. Understanding those costs before you book makes planning considerably easier. Before we dive in, as a general guide, luxury yacht charters can begin from around USD 25,000 per week, while larger superyachts commonly start from USD 150,000 per week and can extend well beyond USD 500,000 per week at the very top of the market. These figures generally refer to the yacht’s base charter fee rather than the total cost of the trip. So, what can you actually expect to pay? Let’s take a closer look. What does it cost to charter a yacht for one week? There is no single average cost to charter a yacht because the global charter fleet covers an enormous range of yachts. A useful starting point is: Yacht Types & Indicative Weekly Rates Luxury sailing yachts From approx. USD $30,000 per week Luxury catamarans From approx. USD $35,000 per week Luxury motor yachts From approx. USD $50,000 per week Large luxury superyachts From approx. USD $150,000 per week Premium 50m+ superyachts Often USD $200,000-$500,000 per week View All Yachts These are indicative base rates only. Charter prices vary considerably according to the individual yacht, destination and season. Rather than focusing solely on yacht length, it is worth considering what you are getting for the rate. A newer 40-metre yacht with exceptional design, an extensive water toy collection and a highly regarded charter programme may command a higher weekly rate than a larger but older yacht. Crew numbers, onboard facilities, recent refits, reputation and demand will all play a role. Our experienced charter brokers will work with you to compare yachts within your budget and explain where the differences in pricing come from. Contact Us What is included in the yacht charter fee? The base charter fee generally covers the use of the yacht for the agreed charter period together with its crew, onboard facilities, standard water toys and equipment. Depending on the yacht, that could mean having a captain and full crew looking after your group, private chefs preparing meals throughout the charter, tenders taking you ashore and access to the extensive collection of water toys. On larger superyachts, the facilities themselves can be extraordinary. Swimming pools, beach clubs, gyms, cinemas, jacuzzis, dive equipment, jet skis, eFoils and inflatable water parks are increasingly common across the premium charter fleet. However, the charter fee does not usually represent the total amount you will spend. Operating expenses specific to your trip are generally charged separately, but fully disclosed before you ever sign on the dotted line. What is APA on a yacht charter? One of the most important additional costs to understand is the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA). The APA is not an additional fee charged by the yacht. Instead, it is money paid in advance to cover the variable expenses incurred during your time on board. FUEL For the yacht, tenders, and motorised water toys Food and beverages Provisioned around your preferences  Berthing and marina fees For ports and marinas visited during the charter Local charges Including cruising permits and applicable local fees Special requests and provisions Arranged specifically for your charter Other expenses Incurred on your behalf during the charter The APA is typically calculated at approximately 30-40% of the base charter fee, although the percentage can vary depending on the yacht and itinerary. For example, if your yacht has a weekly charter rate of USD 150,000 and an APA of 35%, you would pay an additional USD 52,500 into the APA account before the charter. However, that doesn’t mean you automatically spend all of it, or will need all of that for your time onboard. The captain manages the APA throughout the charter and keeps records of expenditure. At the end of your trip, you receive an amount of the costs incurred. Any remaining balance is returned to you, while you will be asked to settle the difference if expenditure exceeds the amount originally provided. What affects how much APA you use? Your itinerary and preferences make a significant difference. A charter covering considerable distances at higher speeds will naturally consume more fuel than a week spent moving leisurely between neighbouring islands. Likewise, premium wines and spirits, elaborate provisioning requests or multiple nights in high-demand marinas can increase costs. This is one reason two guests chartering the same yacht could end up spending completely different amounts. Your broker and captain can help share an itinerary around both the experience you want and your preferred budget. Are food and drinks included in a yacht charter? On most superyacht charters, food and beverages are purchased using the APA rather than being included in the base charter rate. Before you travel, you will normally complete a detailed preference sheet covering everything from dietary requirements and favourite cuisines to preferred wines, spirits, snacks and children’s meals. The yacht’s chef and crew use this information to provision specifically for your group. This bespoke approach is part of what distinguishes a private yacht charter from a hotel or resort. There are no fixed restaurant hours or standard menus to work around. Breakfast can be served after an early swim, lunch might be freshly grilled seafood on the aft deck, and dinner could be a tasting

One might start with sunrise yoga, the next with diving in the Whitsundays or a long lunch in Santorini. Make an Enquiry Explore Our Website Finding the Right Yacht There is no single “best” yacht. The right choice depends on where you want to go, who you are travelling with and how you imagine spending your time on board. Beyond size and style, consider the cabin arrangement, outdoor spaces, cruising capabilities, water toys and crew. A family may prioritise flexible cabins and easy water access, while guests planning a remote itinerary will need longer range and different capabilities. Your dates, destination, preferred activities and budget will help narrow the options. From there, our team can recommend the yachts that genuinely suit the charter you have in mind. Base Rate Includes the yacht, professional crew and use of its standard onboard facilities. APA Covers variable expenses such as fuel, food and beverages, marina fees and itinerary-related costs. Where and When to Charter Where you go will shape the pace of your charter, the activities available and even the type of yacht best suited to the journey. Timing matters too, as most cruising regions have distinct charter seasons. Some guests begin with a destination already in mind, while others start with preferred dates or the kind of holiday they want. Luxury Yachting Meets Ocean Conservation

ARTICLE | AUGUST 2026 Protecting the Oceans We Love to Explore Luxury Yachting Meets Ocean Conservation Make an Enquiry Home | Superyacht News | Protecting the Oceans We Love to Explore There are few experiences more powerful than watching a humpback whale breach just metres from your yacht, or diving alongside manta rays over untouched coral reefs, or taking the tender ashore to an island where wildlife reigns supreme and civilization is miles away. A Shared Responsibility These are the moments that define extraordinary yacht charters. They also serve as a reminder that many of the destinations we dream of exploring are among the most fragile ecosystems on Earth. Across the world, marine environments face increasing pressure from climate change, pollution, habitat loss and overfishing. Yet, alongside these challenges is a growing movement that is reshaping the way people experience the ocean. Rather than simply visiting remarkable places, more yacht owners and charter guests are looking for meaningful ways to support the cruising grounds they love and cherish so much. Luxury and conservation don’t need to be held in isolation from each other anymore, but part of the same conversation. Enquire About Conservation Charters Why Yachting is Positioned to Make a Difference Unlike traditional tourism, superyachts can access some of the world’s most remote and environmentally significant locations. From secluded Pacific atolls and Arctic fjords to protected marine reserves where larger cruise ships simply can’t access, yachts offer unparalleled access and flexibility for guests. With smaller numbers, highly personalised itineraries and the ability to spend extended periods in one location, they also provide opportunities to engage with destinations in a more thoughtful and responsible way. This unique access has made the yachting community an increasingly valuable partner for scientists, conservation organisations and local communities. Around the world, yachts are supporting marine research, transporting scientists to remote locations, assisting with wildlife monitoring and contributing valuable observations through citizen science programmes. For charter guests, it also means the opportunity to become more than a visitor. Whether you’re spending an afternoon learning about coral restoration, or contributing to wildlife observations during a charter, these experiences can add a new dimension to your time on the water. Explore Yachts Conservation is Already Happening Everywhere We Cruise One of the most inspiring aspects of modern ocean conservation is that it isn’t confined to a single destination. Across nearly every major yacht charter region, organisations, researchers and local communities are working to protect marine ecosystems while welcoming visitors who want to be part of the journey. Regardless of where you go, many initiatives rely on vessels capable of reaching isolated reefs and islands, making yachts increasingly valuable platforms for scientific access and education, while still providing an outstanding level of service. A few regions in particular stand out to us at The Superyacht People: Explore All Destinations South Pacific The South Pacific is home to some of the world’s healthiest coral reef systems, vast whale migration routes and countless remote islands where traditional communities have cared for the ocean for generations. Throughout destinations such as Fiji, French Polynesia and Tonga, conservation efforts focus on reef restoration, turtle monitoring, shark research and protecting the biodiversity that makes the region one of the top charter and diving grounds. Discover South Pacific Raja Ampat Widely recognised as the global centre of marine biodiversity, Raja Ampat contains more species of coral and reef fish than almost anywhere else across the globe. Visitors often arrive for the spectacular diving, but leave with a greater appreciation for the extensive conservation work taking place behind the scenes. Community-managed marine protected areas, manta ray research, coral monitoring and sustainable tourism initiatives have become central to protecting this extraordinary region for generations to come. Discover Raja Ampat The Galápagos Islands Few destinations demonstrate the importance of conservation more clearly than the Galápagos. Strict visitor limits, carefully managed landing sites and ongoing scientific research have helped preserve one of the world’s most rare ecosystems. Guests have the rare opportunity to experience wildlife found nowhere else on Earth while learning firsthand about the delicate balance required to protect it. Enquire About The Galápagos The Mediterranean & Caribbean Conservation efforts across the Mediterranean and Caribbean continue to grow. Projects include protecting Posidonia seagrass meadows, monitoring dolphins and whales, restoring coral reefs, protecting nesting sea turtles and reducing marine plastic pollution. These initiatives demonstrate that meaningful conservation isn’t limited to remote expedition destinations but includes some of the world’s most popular and busy cruising grounds. Discover The MediterraneanDiscover The Caribbean Explore All Destinations How Charter Guests Can Get Involved One of the biggest shifts in luxury travel has been the desire for truly authentic experiences that create lasting connections, rather than simply their next post on social media. That’s where citizen science comes in. Depending on the destination and programme, charter guests may have the opportunity to photograph whale flukes for identification databases, record dolphin sightings, help monitor coral reefs, collect water samples, document seabird populations or assist with microplastic surveys. What begins as an unforgettable wildlife encounter can become valuable information that contributes to long-term scientific research. It’s not about sacrificing luxury, but simply elevating the experience, and for many, these experiences become the highlight of their journey. Enquire About Conservation Charters Expedition Yacht Spotlight TELEOST Expedition yachts are quickly gaining popularity and it’s no surprise why. Designed for long-range cruising and capable of reaching some of the world’s most remote destinations, yachts such as TELEOST offer access to places in the South Pacific that few travellers will ever get to experience. Luxury Diving Holidays by Private Yacht

Luxury Diving Holidays by Private Yacht Exploring the underwater world by yacht Make an Enquiry Home | Superyacht News | Luxury Diving Holidays by Private Yacht Why Diving Works Better on a Yacht A diving holiday by yacht unlocks access to remote, lightly visited dive sites, without being tied to fixed routes or schedules. With the freedom to move as conditions change, diving happens when and where the water is at its best, allowing the experience to unfold naturally and without pressure. Access to remote and lightly visited dive locations Flexibility to move with conditions, not fixed schedules A considered approach that minimises disturbance to marine environments Diving supported by certified crew or dedicated dive experts onboard Access shaped by conditions, not schedules Freedom to Dive Beyond the Crowds Experiencing luxury diving holidays by private yacht removes many of the constraints associated with shore-based or liveaboard diving. Rather than returning to the same sites or working around fixed schedules, diving by yacht allows each day to be shaped by conditions, visibility, and where the water is at its best. With the ability to reposition easily, yacht charter diving unlocks access to remote and lightly visited dive locations that are often beyond the reach of mass tourism. This flexibility allows diving to happen when it makes sense, creating a more considered and rewarding experience on the water. Start Planning From certified crew to trusted dive partners Expertise Onboard and Worldwide Diving by yacht is supported by experience at every level. Depending on the vessel and itinerary, this can include crew members who are certified divers, dedicated dive professionals onboard, or specialist partners engaged locally through established networks. For guests looking to learn, there is the opportunity to become certified at various levels, either onboard or through established operators ashore, making it possible to learn to dive on a yacht in a controlled and supportive environment. This approach suits both beginners and experienced divers, including families travelling together. The result is an approach to diving that feels seamless, well-managed, and tailored to the people onboard, rather than shaped by rigid structures or external schedules. “Going off the beaten track is what yachts are made for. The ultimate luxury is reaching places where it feels like you’re the only ones there.” – Alexis Vincent, The Dive Butler Choosing the right platform for diving The Yachts For Diving Yachts used for diving holidays are selected for their ability to operate confidently across different regions and conditions, while maintaining comfort and continuity onboard. With the right setup and experienced crew, the yacht supports diving as part of the wider journey, allowing the experience to unfold smoothly without disrupting the rhythm of the charter. From TELEOST, equipped with a hyperbaric chamber and fully certified dive crew, to 4A, an SSI certified dive school, through to expedition yachts built for Polar cruising, each platform supports a different style of diving. View All Yachts Where yacht charters unlock exceptional underwater worlds Destinations For Diving What defines a diving holiday by yacht isn’t a single destination, but the contrast of experiences it brings together. Within one journey, diving can move between reef systems, offshore islands, and dramatic drop-offs, each offering something entirely different below the surface. From the rare privilege of sharing the water with humpback whales in Tahiti, to descending onto historic wrecks along the coast of Croatia. This range allows each itinerary to unfold around moments rather than locations. Diving becomes part of a wider journey, shaped by season, place, and curiosity, with every destination adding its own perspective to the experience. View All Destinations From beginners to experienced divers Who Can Go Diving? Diving by yacht suits a wide range of guests, from confident divers looking to expand where and how they dive, to those newer to the water who want to build experience in a relaxed, well-supported environment. With the right guidance in place, younger guests can also be introduced to diving in an age-appropriate and considered way, often as part of a broader family charter. Because diving is approached as part of the wider journey, participation is flexible. Some guests may dive regularly, others occasionally, and some not at all, with each day shaped around what feels right for the group rather than a fixed programme. “The places matter, but it’s sharing the underwater world for the first time that people remember.” – Cam Bray, CEO at The Superyacht People Start Planning DIVING FAQs What To Know About Diving During A Yacht Charter Diving by yacht offers access and flexibility, but it also requires planning. These FAQs explain how diving fits into a private charter. Do I need to be a certified diver to dive during charter? No. Yacht charter diving can suit a range of experience levels. While certified divers can dive independently, newcomers can build confidence through PADI Discover Scuba Diving courses, which offer an introductory dive in controlled environments, under the supervision of a qualified instructor. Does the yacht provide dive gear? It depends on the yacht and how diving is arranged. Some yachts carry tanks, compressors, and shared equipment, while others rely on local dive operators through rendezvous diving. Dive gear should never be assumed and is always confirmed during charter planning. Can I take and complete a PADI dive course while on charter? Yes, in many cases you can, but it depends on the yacht, the destination, and how the charter is set up.What’s important to understand is that not all yachts are approved or equipped to run PADI courses independently, so they often rely on training through rendezvous diving. Course structure, minimum time requirements, and local regulations all need to be respected, so this is something that should be planned in advance rather than decided mid-charter. What is rendezvous diving on a yacht charter? Rendezvous diving is when a yacht coordinates with local dive operators rather than carrying full dive equipment onboard. Generally, the dive professionals with meet guests at the boat or on the water to

Somewhere Between Moorea and Nowhere: Cam Onboard BIG SKY

ARTICLE | AUGUST 2025 Somewhere Between Tahiti and Bora Bora: Cam Onboard BIG SKY A seven-day trip through French Polynesia’s cruising grounds with BIG SKY and The Superyacht People Make an Enquiry Home | Superyacht News | Somewhere Between Tahiti and Bora Bora: Cam Onboard BIG SKY Cam, our founder, recently embarked on a relaxed seven-day charter through French Polynesia aboard BIG SKY. Hosted by The Superyacht People, the trip was designed to showcase the yacht, the crew, and the destination in their element — no set itinerary, just good people and a loose plan to explore Moorea, Huahine, Tahaa and Raiatea. Read on for a look at the week and hear from the guests on what made BIG SKY and French Polynesia so memorable. DAY 1 Moorea An early morning departure from Papeete and a comfortable 2 hour cruise across to Opunohu Bay in Moorea. We anchored in deep blue water with sheer volcanic mountains bordering you that make it feel like a scene in Jurassic Park. Breakfast on board while the crew set the yacht up ready for a day of fun, activity and enjoying the toys. Jet skis, paddleboards, sea bobs, efoil, wakeboarding and snorkelling are just some of the experiences throughout the day. After a shared style grazing lunch, we were back in the water for more activities. The day ended with cocktails in the jacuzzi and Dinner al fresco on the upper deck enjoying the freshest tuna caught that morning. First impressions? “We arrived at 3am and were still greeted with warm towels and a welcome drink. Everyone was smiling. That set the tone for the whole week.”   DAY 2 Moorea Awaken to the sounds of the tropics and enjoy coffee on the sun loungers. After breakfast we jump in the 34ft Nortec chase boat with 2 x 400hp outboard engines, for a fast ride to sting ray city. One of the most incredible experiences of my life, something truly unique with large sting rays and reef sharks swimming around you in waist deep, crystal clear blue water. With our sense of adventure sparked, we return to find the inflatable waterslide setup from the bridge deck, letting our inner child be released, this is way too much fun! The rest of the day was spent enjoying water toys, relaxing with music by the jacuzzi, and sunset cocktails on deck. A more formal dinner tonight saw us enjoy the newly refurbished dining and saloon. Late in the evening the captain ups the anchor for an overnight journey north to the island of Huahine. Trip highlight? “Every day was a highlight! Just when you think it could not possibly get any better, it does.” DAY 3 Huahine & The Motu Today brought one of the most unique cultural experiences of the trip, a private lunch on a remote motu island. The table is set in the edge of the lapping water, the tender delivers you to the shore where locals greet you and adorn you with the traditional woven head piece. Locals are playing the ukelele and singing traditional songs, the BBQ is burning coconut husks in the coals, ready to cook the fresh lobsters and fish caught on the fringing reef this morning. A day spent enjoying local games of spearing a coconut, learning to dehusk and core a coconut, tying a traditional sarong, music, dancing and the feeling of being the only people on earth. Hearts and cups are full while we reminisce about the day under the stars on the sundeck. DAY 4 Tahaa An early departure across to the neighbouring island of Tahaa, only a few hours away, so we can enter the lagoon on sunrise, quite a sight to behold as we navigate around the north side of the island inside the fringing reef. Today we explore the local activities and visit a pearl farm, home of the famous Tahitian black pearl. A local guide takes us through the vanilla farm to see how they’re grown and the care it takes to produce some of the world’s best vanilla. Sunset cocktails as we cruise to our overnight anchorage inside Ha’amene Bay, a deep water anchorage surrounded by sheer cliffs. The crew have dressed the table for a night of fun, it’s time to dance and sing to our hearts content. Favourite way to spend an afternoon? “Sitting in the jacuzzi with a drink in hand and music playing. That was my favourite time of day!” DAY 5 Raiatea It’s time for the snorkelling gear to come out again, charge up the seabobs. We’re diving down to explore the Mamado Turtle, a striking four-metre sculpture by renowned artist Evrad Chaussoy. Sitting three metres below the surface, it’s a surreal addition to the reef. Big Sky has relocated to Raiatea, so a short fast tender ride reunites us with the mothership where we change ready for lunch ashore. We visit the northern village of the island with its distinct French Caribbean feel. After lunch it’s into another incredible anchorage at Fa’aroa bay awaiting our evening departure. Departing in the dark of the night, we head south to Moorea Most memorable meal? “That motu lunch was something else! Crystal-clear water, fresh lobster, and live music on the beach.” DAY 6 Cook’s Bay This visit to Moorea sees us in Cook’s Bay, neighbouring Opunohu Bay, arriving just after sunrise. After breakfast the morning is ours to enjoy the water toys, visit sting ray city again, or relax and unwind as we near the end of the trip. Lunch is a special treat today as our crew take us in the tender a few hundred yards away to the newly opened Cooks Bay hotel. An exquisite restaurant with a private tender dock, relaxed atmosphere of feet in the sand, with a stunning wine list and menu showcasing the freshest of Tahitian ingredients. What made BIG SKY stand out? “The yacht was amazing inside and out, but the crew made the trip. They were always one
